About

Kent Life is a vibrant and fun destination with host of attractions on it's 28 acre site which offer a great family day out. No matter whether your family are seeking nostalgia or want to discover more about animals, this is a great place to be. Each season brings new and different things to do and see, so whenever you chose to visit there will be something different. The now unique and only working coal-fired Oast House is fired up in the autumn for drying hops and the traditional process of beer making begins. There are lots of family friendly farm animals, play and picnic areas, wonderful vintage tea room and historic houses and buildings to explore. The easy to reach location, just off the M20 at Junction 6, makes Kent Life Heritage Farm Attraction easily accessible by car or from Maidstone East Station, either catch the boat or it is a short taxi ride. Visit the Vintage Village and explore what life would have been like during World War II, by making your way through the houses and to the Anderson Shelter. The 1950s are well represented in Sandling Farmhouse, or step back in time to Petts Farmhouse from the Victorian era. The atmosphere in the Village Hall and the Church remain, as the walls seem to have absorbed the sense of community and magic, through the celebrations which they have shared. As a working farm Kent Life showcases and breeds traditional farm animals including sheep, cows, pigs, horses, alpacas, rabbits, goats, ducks and chickens and the hands-on cuddle corner is always popular with visitors. The Kent Owl Academy is now resident – take time out to visit the 12 different species, along with two lovely meerkats. Events and entertainment run all year, join in with some of the seasonal farm jobs such as bottle feeding lambs and goat kids, animal feeding or grooming sessions.
